A slender volume which features fifteen short stories, each of which is testament to Cadiramen's enviable skill as a writer.

A collection of fifteen diverse stories that add unique dimensions to the human experience. The themes focus on the unexpected, they intensify perceptions of the familiar and proffer insight into the unfamiliar. Here we find stories that show us that a child's dream is a premonition, that a love can change course, how a belated and strange medical diagnosis is revealed and what happens when an unlikely accomplice provides a lifeline to a war widow. The stories range from the swinging 60s to current times and have a delicate balance of pathos and humour that runs through them.

A slender volume which features fifteen short stories, each of which is testament to Cadiramen's enviable skill as a writer. You will find her sentences are taut, her background beautifully framed, her flair for the offbeat and the unexpected indisputable – Smiriti Daniel

The author insightfully, portrays the cultural landscape, perceptions and attitudes in general on the part of the community and on women in particular. ...In terms of language and use of metaphor, the author has cut an edge over the other writers in English. Her language is matter-of-fact with sparingly laced out metaphors and idioms from Sinhala – Ranga Chandrarathne
